Crafter-noon schedule

Tuesday 16 May, Thursday 18th May, Saturday 20th May

FABRIC FLOWERS

Make brooches, buttonholes or fabric decorations to sew or applique onto bags and clothes, using left-over scraps. Bring along your own fabric pieces if you wish to colour co-ordinate with a particular outfit, or choose from our huge stash.  Some hand and machine sewing experience is required but don't worry if you are rusty - help will be on hand.

Tuesday 30 May, Thursday 1st June, Saturday 3rd June

FRESHLY CAUGHT!

No need to go fishing to bring home the catch! These gorgeous fish look too good to eat, as they hang from their 'hooks', and they won't smell 'fishy' either. Or perhaps you would prefer to net yourself a couple of tropical seahorses. No tank required. All materials provided and basic level if sewing machine skills required.

Tuesday 27th June,  Thursday 29th June, Saturday 30th June

WE'RE ALL GOING ON A SUMMER HOLIDAY

Off on holiday? Make sure your suitcases stand out from the crowd by attaching some super-smart luggage tags. Or hand-stitch some gorgeous vintage-style labels to attach to your hand-luggage. Hand or machine sewing skills required. All materials provided.

Tuesday 25th July, Thursday 27th July, Saturday 29th July

BLOOMIN' LOVELY

The garden is full of summer flowers and it's such a pity to pick them, so make your own paper ones instead! We'll show you how to make realistic peonies, poppies, anenomes and roses which, unlike fresh ones, will keep their bloom for months to come. All materials provided.

Tuesday 22nd August, Thursday 24th August, Saturday 26th August

BESIDE THE SEASIDE

Our final project before finishing for the Spring/Summer term is our most challenging. Using freehand machine embroidery, or hand-sewing, we will create a small appliqué picture of our own design on the theme of The Seaside. Don't worry if you're short of inspiration, we have lots books and designs to help you plan, or simply copy.

Tuesday 13 June, Thursday 15 June, Saturday 18th June

LAZING ON A SUMMER'S AFTERNOON - COASTERS or MUG RUGS

Lazy summer afternoon teas in the garden always taste better with pretty crockery and table linen. Join us this week to create some colourful vintage-style coasters or novelty mug rugs to go with that well-deserved tea- break. Basic or intermediate sewing skills required, depending on choice of styles. All materials provided.

Tuesday 11 July, Thursday 13th July, Saturday 15th July

STRAWBERRY FAYRE

The height of summer means strawberries. Here are a few ideas to ensure you have a constant reminder of sunny days, even in the depths of winter. Choose from a strawberry pot holder to keep in the kitchen, a strawberry fold-away tote bag or a small strawberry-shaped cushion. Basic hand and machine sewing skills are required for these projects. All materials are provided but an indication of your chosen project will ensure we don't run out of a particular fabric.
